Early Starting points for Hunting Dog Training*
.) Make the time commitment needed for your new puppy!
.) Build a trustworthy and bonding relationship, by handling your pup often and spending quality time early.
.) Teach the new name and start implementing commands (here, no, kennel, down)
.) Set the rules for you and other Family members to follow. Very important!
.) Be consistent with activities, communication/commands and corrections.
.) Safe, dry and comfortable living quarters are a must.
.) Develop alpha dominance, pecking order and future training responses.
.) Chew toys work well and should be considered to release extra energy!
.) Obedience classes are strongly recommended for both owner and new puppy!
